Welcome Javiera – Our New Part 1 Architectural Assistant

We are delighted to welcome Javiera Shackley to the team! Javiera joins us from Manchester School of Architecture, having recently completed her degree. She steps into the role of Part 1 Architectural Assistant as she embarks on her 12-month Professional Experience and Development Record (PEDR) journey.

At Bluesky, our mentoring program bridges the gap between academic learning and professional practice. Javiera, like all our Part 1 students, will collaborate closely with our team of Architects and Architectural Technologists, gaining practical insights and deepening her understanding of the RIBA work stages.

From the start of her placement, Javiera will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will offer guidance, support, and diverse work opportunities that will challenge and enrich her experience. These opportunities are designed to help her grow and succeed in her future career.

As a creative, design-led architectural practice, Bluesky specialises in both traditional and modular projects, spanning new builds and refurbishments across the health, education, residential, blue light, and specialist ballistic training facility sectors. We are excited to have Javiera as part of our team over the next year and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
