New Integrated Health and Social Care Facility for Isles of Scilly

Bluesky is delighted to be working on behalf of Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, via local estate partner Community 1st Cornwall, on a new Integrated Health and Social Care Facility to support the needs of the island communities.
The project includes extending the existing St Mary’s Community Hospital to provide brand new accommodation for Adult Social Care Services. It will provide 12 residential care home bedrooms, NHS inpatient ward areas, and ancillary clinic support spaces.
Bluesky Architects have been appointed to provide architectural and healthcare planning services on this logistically challenging project. The build will utilise Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), which will include key elements of the build being manufactured on the mainland and shipped to the island.
Works are due to start in the next month and the facility is due to be complete by late summer 2025.
